Terms of Service
Effective November 1, 2026 · Brentwood Health Group, LLC
These terms govern your use of the Discharge Bills website and initial medical bill review service, operated by Brentwood Health Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the service or submitting documents, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not upload documents or submit a request.
1. What the service does
Discharge Bills provides medical bill review and advocacy. We may identify possible billing errors, duplicate charges, insurance issues, financial assistance options, or opportunities to negotiate. An initial upload and review are free and do not obligate you to buy a service.
We are not a law firm, medical provider, insurer, or government agency, and we are not affiliated with your hospital or insurer. Information we provide is not legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. No reduction, refund, assistance award, or particular outcome is guaranteed.
2. Your eligibility and permission to upload
You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. You may upload your own documents or documents for a person you are authorized to represent, such as a dependent. You are responsible for having permission to share any health, insurance, financial, or personal information in the files.
By uploading, you give us limited permission to receive, store, process, screen, and review the documents, and to use service providers for those purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your documents. This permission is not a sale of your documents or a general license to use them in advertising.
3. Acceptable uploads and use
Submit readable, genuine medical billing documents or insurance EOBs relevant to your review. Supported uploads are PDF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, and HEIC, up to 20 MB per file and up to 10 files per request. HEIC images may be converted to JPEG for processing.
- Do not submit fabricated or altered billing evidence, unrelated files, offensive material, malware, or documents you have no right to share.
- Do not include instructions intended to manipulate automated screening, bypass access controls, or interfere with the service.
- Provide accurate contact information and do not impersonate another person.
- Do not attempt to access another person's files or review records, misuse viewing links, or overwhelm the upload service.
We may reject documents, limit access, or decline a request when uploads do not meet these requirements or when needed to protect the service.
4. Automated screening and human review
Uploads are checked with automated tools, including an AI model, for readable medical billing evidence before they can enter the review list. Document contents are processed by the service providers identified in the Privacy Policy. A successful upload check means only that the document appears relevant; it does not prove authenticity or confirm a billing error.
Automated tools can accept an unsuitable document or reject a legitimate one. An upload error or rejection does not guarantee the file has been deleted. A specialist's later review may reach a different conclusion. Do not rely on automated screening as advice about what you owe.
5. Initial review and further services
The initial bill review is free and does not obligate you to move forward. Any further services require a separate written service agreement before work begins.
Uploading a bill, submitting contact details, or receiving a review does not by itself create an engagement for further services or authorize a charge.
6. Your bill and our authority
You remain responsible for your bill, deadlines, appeals, payment arrangements, and communications unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise. Using this site does not pause collections, extend a deadline, stop interest, or change your obligations to a provider or insurer.
We need any required authorization before contacting a provider, insurer, or collector on your behalf. Uploading a document is not a power of attorney, authorization to settle a claim, or permission for us to make a payment. Do not delay urgent action or ignore a notice while waiting for a review.
7. Communications
If you provide contact permission, we may contact you about your bill by phone, text, or email, including automated means where permitted. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw permission for future contact by replying to a communication you receive and asking us to stop.
Contact consent is not a purchase agreement. The current online request form requires the contact checkbox to submit. Response times and resolution estimates are not guarantees; timing depends on document quality, availability, and the billing parties involved.
8. Privacy and file access
Our Privacy Policy explains private bill storage, administrator access, processing by service providers, retention, and privacy requests. Private storage does not mean that no service provider processes the documents. Viewing links are temporary and must not be shared with unauthorized people.
There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule at present. Abandoned or unsuccessfully cleaned-up uploads may remain stored. Please do not upload information you are unwilling or unauthorized to have processed under that policy.
9. Availability and limits
The website and initial screening are provided as available. They may be interrupted, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete security, document acceptance, or a particular review result. We may change or suspend the website to address maintenance, security, abuse, or legal requirements.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties for the website and initial screening and are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from their use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including protections applicable to consumers. A separate signed service agreement governs any additional responsibilities for further advocacy.
10. Changes, questions, and disputes
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not rewrite an existing signed agreement. Where legally required, we seek additional notice or consent. If a signed service agreement conflicts with these website terms for further services, that agreement controls for those services, subject to applicable law.
For questions or concerns about Brentwood Health Group, LLC / Discharge Bills, email Info@brentwoodhg.com or reply to a communication our team has sent you. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class actions, or select a particular state's law or court; applicable law governs those questions.
